I was asked today by my local camera store if I wanted to be put on the list for the new 1D Mark IV. I asked if he heard anything and he said yes he had. We ALL know one is coming. He's not saying anything we don't already know. The people who really DO have useful information on the camera can't say anything anyway. We'll know the specifics of the camera when Canon announces it.

The other question is, was your store given specific notice that a 1D4 was going to be released, or were they told to expect some new equipment (probably to be announced at PMA), and they just formulated their own idea that it would be a 1D4?It has been speculated, although not alot, that IF Canon release a 1D4 short of the 3 yr cycle, it would probably be at PMA which is 1-5 March '09 in Las Vegas.Basically we will know in about 4-5 weeks if they do or don't.http://www.EquiSportPhotos.com
