Hi,is it possible to have the 40D take multiple exposures (not bracketing) without buying the remote release?I want to take some time lapse pictures this weekend only, and am not sure whether I will use it a lot afterwards. -- I decided to do photography as a hobby cause it's cheaper then golf

can you run tethered or are you looking at non-tethered operation?

I think you can do it via EOS Utility + LapTop or computer ...

I could run thethered, hadn't thought about that yet.I have a laptop, so would need to install eos utility, plugin the cable. yeah, could work.I basically need some shots of me and my wife from a tripod setup, now i put it to 10 seconds and run.I don't use eos utility a lot, as i couldn't even change the author name with that one when i bought the camera. Got it working, works pretty easy.Plugin using usb, start eos utility, choose the chronometer, set the preferences, and it worked. -- I decided to do photography as a hobby cause it's cheaper then golf
