I am looking to get a longer zoom.With 4 kids a fast lens would be best, but I tend need reach with nature and ladscapes. I like the price from sigma. Any thoughts?????

For those long nature shots, try the matched tele extenders (1.4x and 2x) from Sigma - perhaps not as good as true long glass, but for the money it's hard to beat.The only thing missing is image stabilization, but then the price would be much higher; in any event, the f/2.8 through the full range allows higher shutter speeds than cheaper lenses and that can offset lack of IS.Greg -------------------- IronPix.com - A Specialty of Photos At Play

I have just that combo and I totally love it! Great picture quality. I have other SIgma and Tamron lenses and compared to my "L" glass they often leave me wanting, but the 70-200 f/2.8 is just wonderful. Marc
