I picked up the 50mm 1.4 lens a few weeks ago and I love this lens, but I notice isn't that great for taking group photos in my situations. I hate having to step way back to fit more people in the picture. Can anyone recommend any good wide angle lenses for taking indoor grp photos.

If you'll be using flash, any of the 17-xx or 18-xx series should work. If you must shoot existing light, the 28mm/1.8 might work better. It's not so wide on a crop body, though. --
