Most likely not.Generally the rumors for the lenses that never end up being made at least include a patent.This dosent even include that, meaning canon hasnt even designed and patented an optical formula for such lens. They plan to announce a lens soon that they havent even designed or patented? Sounds like a baseless rumor to keep the rumor sites traffic up (hence the CR1 rating)
