great first attempts, I like the first one best. You have the head nicely in focus, but maybe try a smaller aperture next time to get more of the bug in focus and maybe a closer crop. You could probably afford to go to iso 200/400 but then I'm certainly no expert in Macro (or any other form of photography for that matter!!).Thanks for sharing,Cheers Olivia -- The world is too big for one lifetime, and one lens.http://www.flickr.com/photos/oliviamair/

Just to second the above comments, I think you will find ISO 400 f/8 much easier to work with than ISO 100 f/4.The other way to approach this is to use a lens-mounted flash diffuser - such as the Interfit Strobies STR110/111 - then you can work at ISO 100 f/12 if you want using the built-in flash.
