Where to buy lens in London
DominikT
Hi, I've been debating whether to sell my 17-85IS and get the 17-55IS for half a year now. So when I finaly decided to do so, It seems that canon does not have any cash back rebates anymore.. great! So does anyone know anywhere where I can pick this lens up for the best price... In London UK.Its going for £579 on amazon.co.uk,Martin's camera shop has it for £610 with a free HOYA pro 1 UV filter...(seems like a good price???) Anyone know of a better deal..???Cheers D. -- This is no longer a hobby... it's an obsession http://www.creativeeh.com

I bought a 17-40L at Jacobs in New Oxford street where they did an internet price match deal for me. --'I don't take snaps - I paint with light' - Tony Hancock

Fromhttp://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod66.htmlIt seems bizarre that there is over 200 pounds price difference between Jessops.com and Cameras2u.com (which is also Jessops). No wonder Jessops are in trouble if they compete with themselves like this.Personally, I bought my last lens fromhttp://www.martinscamerashop.co.uk/and was very satisfied with the service (and price!) but the OP was asking for a place in London he could buy from. --'I don't take snaps - I paint with light' - Tony Hancock

thanks,Martin's camera shop does seem to have the best prices and I haven't heard any negative feedback from anyone buying from there... So I'll probably get it there.Cheers -- This is no longer a hobby... it's an obsession
