HiMy copy of the 16-80 makes a whirring noise as soon as I switch on my X-T2. It even continues if I turn the IS off in the settings ? Is this normal as it makes videos useless as the mic picks up the sound. thanks

But that said, there were reports about the same issue in the past, for example:> 2021-03-01,"New to me XF 16-80 OIS noise"[1] > 2020-07-03,"High-Pitch Whirring Noise From the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4"[2] > 2020-01-20,"Fuji XF 16-80 lens noise (sound). Is this normal?"[3]If you can, do try another lens sample, or just return the one you got.

Thanks everyone. I hardly use video so it’s not a deal breaker but I think I may try another copy just to be sure.
