X-S10 with Tamron 16-300/3.5-6.3 for Nikon via FTX adapter
PaulSnowcat
Hello everyone!I want to share some pictures with you i've shot today. They were taken using X-S10, Fringer FTX adapter and Tamron 16-300 for Nikon lens. The combo shows very good results and the lens works fine (better, then it works with Nikon Z50 via FTZ adapter in fact!).

I often carry two Fuji bodies with two zooms to get the same range.

The results look great. I used to own and enjoy that lens. If the FTX adapter existed when I switched I still would.Morris

Images look good, although not sure from 0.8mp. Would be curious to see more samples from 300 and 16mm. I wish the 16-80 would be reach at least to 135 or the 18-135 start from 16...

Here are plenty of pictures taken with my first T16-300. Is was one of the first lenses ever produced (it's serial number was 00000177 (not sure about how many zeoes were there). I used Sony A77 back then, so THAT lens was for Sony.http://www.alphatraveller.org/gallery/index.php?/category/82One important thing about Ultrazooms (any of them, including this one) - you have to carefully select your copy of the lens. Ultrazooms have very complicated construction and there can be much difference from copy to copy. Yet, the latest bunch of ultrazooms CAN achieve very acceptable IQ.Actually, those pictures form the link above were used in my won review for this lens. Some people do not believe I honestly used one lens to take them and were sure that I used three! That was really funny

16-300 is an insane zoom range

True, that's 24-450 in EQ... It is a great pleasure to use one.I was using one on Sony, then I've switched to Nikon and sold all my Sony gear. After a short time, I've bought new 16-300 for Nikon as it cannot really be replaced. Then I've switched to Nikon Z and used my 16-300 even though it is not officially supported and works works with some occasional glitches. And finally now I am using it on Fuji with NF-FX adapter where it works fine once again! It is a very good "exploring" lens, when you go somewhere unknown where you can meet virtually anything.
