I contacted them twice about it and they ignored me.  They are ad sales driven, not unbiased.

Those vastly outsell any camera sold here.Y'all always throw the same excuses about DPReview's connection to Amazon.

The truth stings sometimes, it's ok - we know.

Mariux wrote:Any updates?ThanksWhat exactly are you looking for? I don’t know anyone waiting until an on-line photography forum posts their opinion to spend 14,000 for a new M11 and lens.  Similarly, I can’t see anyone who owns Leica Ms caring what DPR (or anyone else) thinks about their camera so…….. what is it you’re seeking that can’t be found on other sites like Camera Decision or everywhere else?

Mariux wrote:Any updates?ThanksI believe that DPR stopped doing such detailed test-shooting quite some time ago. Whether it stopped at the same time as the acquisition by Amazon, or, when a particular person or persons departed from DPR even before then, I am not prepared to answer. (I simply do not have the time, this morning, to start looking through the old reviews.)

For camera to be added to the studio scene, DPR must publish a full review first. There was never an M11 full review.

I stand corrected. It seems that DPR has stopped reviewing cameras that I find interesting. I had forgotten that Sony makes cameras.

Nothing else. Afterwards, I never mention you or anything about what you are, or are not, waiting for. However, since you asked, if one owns the camera or isn’t planning to buy - test charts mean nothing. Likewise, if you don’t own one, or aren’t planning to buy, test charts don’t matter. There are numerous comparisons and reviews out there. In other words my photography advice (since you asked) is, if you own it - go shoot it and if you don’t - go enjoy what you already have. In both situations, no amount of test charts from DPR matter. No amount of test charts will change a fantastic camera. So, I guess we are back to my first and (until you asked) only comment on the thread - “What are you looking for?” If you answer that, maybe someone can help you. Probably not me as I’ll be out shooting mine.I’m just trying to be a good neighbor. 😎

chrismosk

completely agree.  The scene scenario has 'talked me out of' purchasing cameras in the past.  It is a good tool.

That does not mean i buy or not buy based on that but at least i know a starting point or what to expect. If you dont care thats fine, but dont make that decision for someone else.Oh by the way i have M11, just saying...
