am curious if you can mount both a GPS unit and flash simultaneously to a Nikon D3100. I would also like some input on what units I should buy. Currently I am looking at a Yongnuo YN 560 III flash unit and I am still not sure what GPS unit I should buy. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also note, obviously based on my post, I am an amateur photographer.Thanks in advance!

Also note, obviously based on my post, I am an amateur photographer.Thanks in advance!As an amateur, I would avoid a manual flash.  You want something with TTL.If money is an issue, you could save money by not buying a GPS unit.  There are numerous apps that will track location via you smart phone (if you have one).  Based on the photo's timestamp, it will take the location data from the phone and add it to the photo's metadata.  More work, but budget friendly.
