It wasn't a big issue because I only use it on the very rare occasion that I want to using the debanding. I use lightroom for everything else, and occasionally dxo optics pro for noise reduction.

(Yes, the noise is intentional.)And if you haven't tried Viewpoint out with your wide angle lens that one is special too. Very much a plus with the ultra wide angle lens.Grant.

I use Topaz from LightRoom, either calling up individual filters, or through Topaz' front-end photoFXlab. At first, I was confused by the workflow for the whole package, but then I found this reference chartSuggested Topaz Workflowon Darcy With Topaz' Flickr channel. I'm very happy with the polish I can get on my good photos and I can often save photos that have problems. What's the difference between Topaz and what you can do through lightroom with their presets, aftermarket purchased LR presets, or just making the adjustments yourself?

Do them all yourself. Have fun!

"a bit" being a relative term

You will have thirty days to come up with your own conclusion. It is not the least expensive suite out there so it is worth some time trying it out. If Denoise and Detail don't hook you right away, you will likely save yourself the trouble and the coin.

... Perhaps, it's better to try one program at a time. Most are programs you will never use, and it is better to take your time instead of being overwhelmed with a dozen programs.
