Noct camera system
Indohydra
Noct system. Due out late 2019. I wonder if this is vaporware or does Nikon actually have the technological ability to develop their own sensors for low light cameras? I am confused. I thought that Nikon was using Sony sensors.

I thought that Nikon was using Sony sensors. In the beginning Nikon made their own professional camera CCD sensor it was called LBCast, then when CMOS sensor came out Nikon used Sony made to Nikon specifications. There is no reason to believe that Nikon can't make their own - but then they could contract third party such as Sony to make it for them.

TowerJazz was the company chosen by Nikon to fabricate the D850 sensor, the first BSI sensor used in a Nikon DSLR. See this article:http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1508441/0
