D850 Meets Fighting Eagles in Washington

stitchlips

I had the sheer pleasure of spending 4 days on the west coast of Washington observing and photographing Eagles as they fought for food and prime fishing spots. I used my D850 to capture the action and put it all together in this story driven video. Enjoy!

Well, you have really topped yourself with this vid, and in my own back yard :^)  Easily the best eagle shots I've seen, and we have all seen a bunch.  Bravo!

...dude, you should sell this stuff to a network, not put it online for grabs.

Amazing photography and Outstanding narration Mark! Next year makesure you spend time in Conowingo Dam in Nov & Dec and Mississippi Lock & Dams in Jan & Feb for Eagles.I learned from your Florida wisdom and glad to see you are venturing out to other corner of this amazing country while crisscrossing the country through Colorado.Hopefully some network will see value in your Amazing talent and sponsor your passion.Sincerely,Saji

I don't usually like wildlife photography, but I watched your whole video. My favorite part was when you had the wherewithal to pan back down to a common crow during an eagle fight. It's a good thing the D850 can keep up with you! Super sharp pics almost guaranteed. It may not have the D500 speed, but I've owned both cameras myself and enjoy the D850 far more than the D500.A couple of your eagle shots were impressive to me, and it's very hard to do that since it's not something I'm usually interested in.

That is quite a set of compliments. I appreciate them very much. Yes, the crow was so smart. It had to be included in the story.I've found the d850 with the 500mmf4 prime to be far superior to the d500 in every way but the buffer. This combo is just incredible.
