Only heard about Z8, Z6III talks, not a word on the  Z version of D500...Nikon is promoting sales of Z50 heavily, that got me curious about something is replacing it?!

It is nowhere in the same league as the D500.Nikon plays that very close to their vest. There was a time between 2010 and 2016 when everybody was racking their brains trying to figure out if they would announce a D400, whith a few heart sinking moments when they announced the D7100 as a "flagship DX", the D600 which broke the numbering sequence, the Df, and out of the blue they finally announced the D500. And even if something came out as a sort of mirrorless D500 l wouldn't change my DSLR D500 - it's too good and matches well with my other DSLRs. I certainly don't want to mix systems.

I shoot my D500 alongside my D6 so I'm well catered for such that I'd have no interest in any rumoured mirrorless.
