Hi Arnaud,While not known for great low light capability, the seven year old D500 can surprise folks with how well it actually handles high ISO situations.I was about to test the focus on my brand new, just out of the box, 500mm PF, and before I could make it out the door, one of my daughters cats caught my attention, and got the first shots from it.  This is a Basic JPEG, SOOC.I've learned to not be shy about using this great camera in low light, and regularly shoot tennis or dog agility under the lights, as well as moody, indoor church scenes during weddings.Happy New Year!Arnie

The ubiquitous cat photo. I received one of the very first D500 bodies and mine came with a free Catinabox'

Nice picture from  the OP and great follow-ups from the others. The fur and wiskers lend themselves very well to a properly focused and sharp shot.Having jumped from a D90 straight to a D500 I continue to be astonished by how well it performs at high ISO.
