I no longer can get to B&H conveniently to try the fit.  I'm looking for a "hard" case, well they're all high density foam now, for my recently acquired Nikon 85mm f/1.8.  It's hard to tell from the specs whether a case will work or not.I would like one that would fit the lens with the hood attached normally and not reversed.  I have a Tamarac Medium lying around and it's a bit too tight.Anyone who owns a case for this lens and post a link to the model?

Do you need hard plastic, or would a Lowepro nylon/foam lens case work?  The 9x13 fits the 85mm with hood forward.  With hood reversed, you can squeeze it into the 9x9.

Thanks for the reply!!  Hmmm...I checked the box for e-mail notification but I was never notified so I didn't see your reply unitl now.I'm not looking for a hard plastic case.  A soft high density foam/nylon case is what I'm looking for.  I'll order the Lowe Pro that you mentioned.
