Started using 10.5 today.

Hello;I bought my 10.5, yesterday from a friend its a ball to use, but! I think the best way to describe a fisheye is its a lens demanding a second camera, today I was able to get out to "play" with it and biggest discovery is I need a second camera along, I was changing lenses constantly, still its fun, and lots of "relearning" needed to gain the most from it.It will require a learning curve of its own, to master it. Does anyone have some suggestions  on getting the most from it?I posted a few shots this morning on flickr, under my palmerb16 name, if anyone cares to look and comment.I'm using my D90, but to take a second camera I'll take my D200, if this becomes a habit,to gain most from fisheye, the D7100 will look pretty good or "IF Nikon" should introduce a D400? oops, did I say that? yes its going to a fun lens but must be careful to not get carried away with it.Thanks  Rubicon:

Loving my 10.5. Check out this pic I took the other week. There is also a hemi plug in for photoshop which can correct the vertical distortion but I quite like the results as they are.

I loved it for landscapes, well, I still do but as you say it easily go over the edge.Yes, it's a demanding lens but it can produce lovely images when you hit the spot.

I suppose if you keep the horizon halfway up then it won't distort & the image can be more pleasing on the eye, like these two great images.

Yes, unless one is after that warped look. One can alway crop so the horizon isn't centered but that isn't always possible, it is a limiting lens but that's one of the challenges that makes it rewarding to use.
