Newbie here with a newb question, is there any predictable time of year that Nikon puts there lenses on sale.. Or is it more random an no method to it. Thank you for your help....   :)))))

you missed the big lens sale in March!

Actually, I think there is a bit of a pattern.  It's not really a plan, but I think more a reaction to market conditions.Look for pre-Christmas sales, and sales in Feb-Mar.    The pre-Christmas sales are obvious, but usually involve bundling a camera with a lens.The Feb-Mar sales tend to be done if Nikon hasn't made their yearly sales goals and is pushing product hard.  Their fiscal year starts in April, so the Feb-Mar time is their last chance to make some goal if they are short.Other than that, things seems random (to me).
