Is there a 3rd party "Z-mount" lens you really want or ...

... have and would not give up?What about a 3rd party "Z-mount" adapter like Tilt & Shift?

When I went from crop sensor to full frame, I got the Sigma 150 2.8 macro lens. I had the Nikon 105, but I wanted to be able to better fill the frame without moving closer. In that I don't see a Nikon Z macro larger than 105 on the Z roadmap, I would definitely consider a third-party Z 150 or 200 macro lens.

No

No.

A proper Z mount version of the Sigma 24-35 F2 with proper Z optics (not fudged DSLR optics) would be interesting, the F mount was very good as was the DX 18-35 F1.8 and with the Zs having IBIS , it`d be stabilized too ..Having the E mount Tamron zooms as an option would be good too such as the 28-75  F2.8MARK-2, the 28-200 F2.8-5.6 and the F2.8 telezoom . none are essential but nice options and of course the new Tam 17-70 which is stabilized for the Z50

astirusty wrote:... have and would not give up?What about a 3rd party "Z-mount" adapter like Tilt & Shift?Yes my IRIX CINE lenses -- all Z mount and more and more focal lengths being added - the 150mm T3.0 Macro is my personal favourite

The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD will be a good option

The only ones I’d consider are the Voigtländer APO-Lanthars and the 50/1.0 Nokton if it ever makes it’s way to Z-mount. I have zero interest in hobbling my Z7 with Chinese junk.

3rd party Z-mount lens that i really want now, is the CV 50/2 Apo-Lanthar Z.Additionally I would like to see a native Z-mount Version of the CV 21mm/3.5 Color Skopar in the near future.___3rd party Z-mount lens i have and would not give up, is the CV 35/2 Apo-Lanthar Z.If I could keep only one lens of my whole lens collection (19 lenses), it would be the CV 35/2 AL-Z, without hesitation.

Even a f4 70-200. Currently the only available lens at occasional use price is the F 70-200 f4

MAK73 wrote:The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD will be a good optionI know, right? It would make a terrific fast event lens, especially if it also took a 1.4x extender - especially on my Z9 with 5-axis IBIS. Combined with a 20mm 1.8 that's all I'd need to cover an entire event - super fast and light.  The 24-120 is OK, but it's F4, can't take an extender, and that extra 30mm length would really help.Mike

astirusty wrote:... have and would not give up?What about a 3rd party "Z-mount" adapter like Tilt & Shift?Don't need it but the entire Zeiss Batis lineup would be cool.18 2.8 /25 2/40 2/85 1.8 /135 2.8 lenses.I like the spread better, and they all have OLED displays, most are smaller/lighter as well.I doubt it will happen though, as unlike something like Viltrox, they actually give Nikon S lenses a run for their money.Though I suppose that's already possible with Megadap adapter.

astirusty wrote:... have and would not give up?What about a 3rd party "Z-mount" adapter like Tilt & Shift?Z mount lens selection is horrible if you ask me, almost all the lens I am using everyday is not available in Z mount, so I want them all so I don't have to use the adapter with my Z9, such as 14 F1.8, 35 F1.2, 85 F1.2, 135 1.8......... just to name a few, it's ridiculous they don't even have a 35 F1.4 and 85 1.4, in Z mount, seriously?? and those Voigtlander and Zeiss E-mount primes...... I wish they all have a Z mount so I will convert them all, I have 8 of those and love them so much and will never give up, I would say until they have a Z mount or RF mount, I will always keep one Sony body just for those lenses. but again, they all can be adapted to the Nikon Z system so that's the good news.

Yes I want the Voigtländer Nokton 23mm f/1.2 to take the place of my Chinese 25mm. I have become fond of the 35mm equivalent on my Z50.

My GAS has given me a hankering for the sigma 18-50 f/2.8, so something like that in Z (and even better if it gains VR) would be very tempting. So far the cost of an ETZ adapter has been enough to stop me buying it.

Want!It may be big and heavy but optically it must be fantastic; and 40mm is my favorite focal length.
