I ordered a Nikon 24-120/4 s lens more than 6 months ago in Europe, and I'm still waiting for it... This lens seems to be impossible to find in Europe.On the other hand, it has been been in stock for more than 6 weeks in several US stores. Is Nikon favorizing US at the expense of other places in the world ?

Well, that’s not completely true… I had an “in stock” notice active at a big online store in the Netherlands. And about a month ago I got a message it was in stock. Ordered it and it arrived the next day.When I talked to a local camera-store a few weeks ago, they told me they still didn’t get a lot of the 24-120, all of them were pre-ordered so they were gone as they came in…My tip: have some “in stock notices” active and get in line at a small local store…It’s an awesome lens, goes well with my 100-400 as a set.Good Luck!

Is Nikon favorizing US at the expense of other places in the world ?I ordered mine from the U.K. via Nikon Europe on 1st June.  It arrived about 10 days later.  I’ve a suspicion Nikon are fulfilling direct orders to maximise their margin.  This was my logic for ordering direct rather than via a dealer.

I reserved one of next batch Grays of Westminster get in 3 weeks ago. Got a call Friday to see mine is now. Will go up to London to get it as soon as the heatwave subsides, probably Weds.

I got one in June from a dealer in Nuremberg. But yes, these lenses seem to be sold in homoeopathic doses.As currently is everything else. We've got so many crises going one atop of another ...

That blue-company (“Anything for a smile…”) had them in stock back then (quite a few actually).If you pre-ordered at KE, then you should know that orders which are paid in full have priority over the ones with just a deposit.When you ask a local store what the waiting list is, they generally are open about that.

Yes, If you order directly from Nikon, it comes in next week! Nikon is giving higher priority at least in Europe to their own store, which actually makes sense...they have limited number of lenses and they want to make themselve a more attractive retailer and get more profit. My 400 f4.5 was shipped next day after I ordered directly from Nikon, but it was in pending state for over a month before that when I ordered from a local retailer...

It is available in several stores in my country. (Greece).
