I have the Z7 and a couple of lenses, but have now decided to go fully mirrorless and given the breadth of the change I decided to consider alternative platforms, namely Canon and Sony. Sorry, can't do it, and it comes down to lenses.  Even with their only partially developed lens lineup, Nikon's lenses are a better fit for me.  I presently have the f mount 800mm, 400mm and 200-500.  I'll be moving to the new mirrorless 800, 400 f4.5, and the 100-400.  I'm ruling out the really exotics because I don't want to again put that much into lenses (i.e., the 600 f4 and 400 2.8), so Sony really has nothing for me except their 100-400, same with Canon except their 100-500 looks interesting, but I could not deal with 800mm f11. Soooo, looks like I'm sticking with Nikon as long as they actually decide to produce some lenses in the near term.
