A sunny day

None

Even strong sun is okay sometimes...Fresh spruce-tip...Front yard flowers...Daughter at 14...Backyard dog...Cold rootbeer...And later, with softer sun, I biked a short trail with my smaller dog who won't jump in the water a wreck the shot. It's called Moraine Lake, a little hidden from tourists but it still shows the glacier and is easy to get to by bike. All with the E5, most with the 50 f2, but the last with the 12-60.

A sunny day is good...send that sunshine down to Portland, Oregon. We've had so much rain!!! But we did have a few sunny days.I agree that pictures can look good in bright sunlight, as we try to work with the light to our advantage. I prefer photos that are not soft and out-of-focus...so my favorites would be the one of your daughter and the last one of the pretty landscape.

Thanks,Yeah, the West Coast pattern seems to have the rain swath move up and down. If it's totally blue here, you guys often get wet. Mostly we are wet.

Thank you.

Thanks Justin, I hope to return to that lake on various nice mornings and evenings throughout the year. My guess is that fall will be best for the light and color, maybe with some early ice and very still water for reflections. Right now the valley is warm, so the wind flows off the glacier, creating ripples.

Are you far enough north to get 24 hour light for a few weeks. Lovely shots BTW. I guess the far North has an inherent advantage, in summer, of having a good few hours of interesting light per day (last time I was close to the circle, I had little interest in photography :().

If you look at a globe we are a little lower than the arctic circle, but high enough to get long, long days and a dusky night through June. It's actually fairly ideal for photography, because year round we can find good light (mid-day in December). It all depends on how much flat space you have, regarding sunset. If you have low mountains and a lot of open water, then expect very long days. Our mountains are close enough to make a difference.
