DA 120-380mm zoom lens in the new roadmap?
Prognathous
http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/pdf/lens_roadmap.pdfThe diagram is deliberately fuzzy when it comes to focal length ranges. Hopefully this zoom lens ends at 400mm, to compete with the Sony, Canon and Nikon counterparts. There's no good reason reason for Pentax to come up short, pun intended.Prog. -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/oren_b

I hope that you are correct as we need more long glass.Dale -- http://www.pbase.com/abundant108 http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/daledoram

I would certainly like to have a high quality zoom like that when i don't want to take my big 400mm (or future DA560mm).I have a Sony Alpha 70-300mm G series that i use with my NEX-3 and i like it, and it would be good for Pentax to have such a zoom with better I than the DA55-300mm. -- Leopold Pentax forever http://smarcoux.zenfolio.com/ http://www.limagier-photo.com/ http://www.firstlight.com/galleries.php http://steevemarcoux2.wordpress.com/

The reason its fuzzy is because they most likely haven't decided the exact focal range. Hopefully a new lens roadmap will be released at Photokina. We could even get lucky and the lens may be announced as well, but its not uncommon for lenses to slip on Pentax roadmaps. From Rumours the DA560 will be released early 2013 and we've got details and seen prototypes of it, which is more than the other zoom.
