Nice shootin' Mike. That Sigma 500/4.5 is one of very few lenses that I don't worry about shooting wide open. The DA*300/4 is another one.Cheers.Ron

Thanks Ron, I'd add the Sigma 100-300mm F4 to that as well -- Mike from Canada"I am not a great photographer! God is a great creator! Very nice; I love the feeling of simplicity but elegance of the first one.Honestly though, I'm having a hell of a time figuring out the turtle shot. I see the tail so I can only surmise the other end is the head, but it looks like it's looking back over it's shell. I don't know that I've ever seen a turtle do that. Am I reading it wrong or is that what's happening? In any event, thanks for posting. -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/52664228@N04/

1 and #3 are excellent. The unique one is #2. My experience with photographing turtles is one of frustration. I live on the Miuskegon River and there are plenty of turtles sunning themselves on rocks and logs. Primarily snappers. Soon as I try to photograph them they are gone. That said, a real nice shot of what appears to be a painted turtle in #2. At least that is what we call them in Michigan.

I think they are a little more easy going here most I've seen don't care that i'm in the area, then again they are usually a distance away. there was one i photographed that actually sought out humans for food, likely was fed in the past so it associates humans with food. -- Mike from Canada"I am not a great photographer!
