K-5 and WR 18-135mm go on vacation! (imgs)

So...I knew a beach vacation was on the calendar this Summer. I really wanted a WR lens to go with my K-5 WR body so I wouldn't have to be paranoid about sand and spray. I opted for the 18-135 because I didn't have anything with any reach in my bag. Prior to this all I had was a 50mm prime and 35mm prime.I was a little nervous due to that infamous photozone review...but I decided to get the lens anyways based on some positive feedback from the group here.Let's just say that I'm thrilled with this thing! All shots taken with K-5 and DA 18-135...All pulled from my flickr site. Images are re-sized to 1024 when I upload...so actual resolution/quality is even better. More to come...but I thought this was enough for one post....

Looks like fun. I love that combo due to it's versatility and ruggedness. Really like the last picture of the glasses reflection.Peteo

looks like some enjoyable times were had. Don't think I'd be taking my K5 though. If I am going to expose it to the elements, there better be some rare photo ops hanging in the balance.

Seriously? This is nothing compared to some of the K-5 abuse I've seen it take. That's what the weather sealing is for.And pictures of my family at the beach only happen once every couple of years...so I consider that a rare occasion.
