Batis 25 or Zeiss 16-35 or Zeiss 24-70 to compliment my A7II + Zeiss 55 f1.8 ?

ok so there's a few thread like this but none gave satisfying answer, as the few people has their hand on the Batis yet.but now it seems the Batis has arrived in some of the forumers here so i want to ask for advice again.i use A7II and i have the Zeiss 50 F1.8 which is ridiculously sharp. After shooting with that combo, any other lenses become pretty much blunt to my eyes.but having only 55 prime is limiting the way i shoot, im a beginner , and i like to take photos of my pet dogs, travel photography such as casual landscape, and people group shots as i have a quite big family, so i need a wider lens for this purposes.so i've been thinking to get either one of this three lensZeiss Batis 25 f2Sony Zeiss 24-70 f4Sony Zeiss 16-35 f4their pricing is about the same, but i still can't decide on which one to get,can someone who has them give some inputs ?thank you.

If you're shooting a lot of landscapes the 16-25 of the 16-35 is great for that. I have this lens, but I'm living in a city. All below 25 is simply too much. On the other hand I prefer 21, 28 and 35 as good companions to my 55/1.8. For daily walkaround I have the 28/2 and the 55/1.8 with me. It's a perfect combo. And because I didn't buy the batis instead, I saved some money for the loxia 21/2.8.

Ask yourself this:1. Do you prefer zooms or primes?2. Is f4 fast enough for you people shots indoors? If you can not reply to the above questions, save your money for now, and try to take a photo workshop for beginners. Or buy the cheaper 28-70 zoom, use it for one year, after this period, you will know.

Sebbe is right, the FE 28mm is the perfect companion to the FE 55mm.Its also a bargain.J

It really comes down to what you actually shoot and need.If landscapes or cityscapes are your game, then the FE 16-35/4 is amazing lens. Very good wide open from 16-25mm and decent at 35mm. Batis 25 will be slightly sharper, but for that kind of shots you rarely shoot wide open, and there won't be much between them at F8 and beyond. If you mostly do street photography then a fast wide prime like Batis 25 or Sony 28/2 might be a better choice. If you just shoot anything and everything, the 16-35/4 will be a more versatile lens.My current travel kit is now 16-35/4, 55/1.8 and Batis 85/1.8.

If I could only have two lenses it would be the 55 FE and 16-35 FE. I would miss my 70-200 FE though.

I recently upgraded from the A7 II to the A7R II and it's way better. If you have the A7R II, then I think you could live with the 16-35mm f4.I had the Batis 25 and sold it at cost - partly to fund an A7R II purchase. I got a deal on a 16-35mm f4 that I plan on bringing on a europe trip. The sensor does seem to do better with lowlight that makes the slower zoom more tolerable. Both lenses are about the same size - the batis is about 20% smaller but it's not meaningful in my opinion once you reach a certain size threshold. I will probably get the Loxia 21 at some point - ahead of a future trip although it won't come out soon enough for my trip over thanksgiving.I also had the 28mm f2 and I would recommend you stay away from it for group shots especially under less than ideal conditions, I found the people distortion to be horrible. Not going to elaborate further on this point since the 28mm f2 seems to have rabid fans that swear by it as the best lens in the world but would point that out. If that's all you can afford, get it but otherwise I think the other two options are better.
