Who is joining what other site?

Brandon birder

Just wondered who is joining DPRevived, M43.org, mft communities, Facebook or other site?I have joined DPRevived and micro43.org for now and have used a similar user name for continuity.

Your poll doesn't allow for multiple options. I've joined DPRevived and micro43.org. I'll settle on one probably, but currently keeping my options open.My guess is the DPRevived will have the longest legs because it is multi-brand and I think will inevitable get the most subscribers.Heaps of credit to all setting up these initiatives.Mike

DPrevived, it is being made for the community by the community, it will continue to improve over time, there is nothing stopping anyone joining other sites as well, whatever suits your needs

But as with all polls, who really knows.Of course that is more than just from one forum and this is the m4/3 forum afterall. I already have a couple of other forums I post to anyway, but I'm not keen on a one brand or format forum. I like to mix it up with different brands and formats. I love the photos, not so much the boxes.Danny.

Like you I have joined DPRevived and m43.orgm43.org currently has 334 members so I am hoping that it becomes a thriving base for all stuff m43rds and keeps its mix of beginners and those with expertise. It needs people like you and the OP to stick around so I hope you do.I have joined DPRevived for the bigger picture. I like to keep up to date with things and even though I have no intentions of buying cameras like the Z9 am interested in their technology and features. I also appreciate quality photographs so having macro and nature sections where posters with all equipment can post means that I get to see the wonderful images they produce and learn their techniques. If the micro 43rds section thrives as well then I'll be there too.My gratitude also goes out to those who have and are making alternatives to DPReview possible. All the best,Sephen

I joined mu-43 andhttps://micro43.organd bookmarked DPRevived.mu-43 seems a bit dead with too many DPR outcasts (not fans of ours).https://micro43.orghas been busy with enough familiar faces, and not many whiners.DPRevived looks like the busiest site, but only has a small mft following, multi platform sites that arent DPR just dont seem to have the membership I'd like.https://micro43.orgis the one that has me checking it everyday so far, feels like home almost.Good luck where ever people go!!

dprevived, micro43.org, mu-43.com

I have not voted as you are restricted to one choice.  However, I have registered with DPRevived and Micro43.  Both looking good to me.  Also registered on two other sites, but it's doubtful I will participate on those sites due to the terms of use.I also like a threaded view that shows I have already read a message.

The most promising of all if we don't want a split up into numerous options which would sooner ore later go the way of the Dodo for reasons of low traffic...The interface and opperability doesn't yet look like what we would like it to be but there's some heroes working hard on it!

I'm not looking for a single-topic discussion site.DPRevived seems like the best one to-date from that perspective. I hope there will be discussions of other sites on DPRevived.

I must have missed the bit on turning on multiple options.

micro43.com also gets my vote.

TheRealYeats

Micro43.org and also DPRevived.  I will likely remain mostly a lurker on the latter.

Don't think I'll participate in the Facebook-based alternative, as Facebook gives me the heebie-jeebies, especially when it comes to posting images. The whole web-scraping surveillance AI thing is gross.

Plan A: For now I have joined dprevived.com (as 'finnan').Plan B: In case I shouldn't like how dprevived.com might evolve then I'll probably move on to micro43.org

Trend

dprevived looks very promising.

mc-101

DPRevived.  Its important to support the new venture.  Critical mass will help it survive.Other than that Fredmiranda is populated with great photographers.

Lifesucks

Im hopeing for something similiar to the adapted lens forum as well as M4/3...havent joined any as yet.Not interested in facebook at all due to total lack of any sort of privacy...but will look at the others.

Yes the traffic on mu-43 is very low and as said, having very strong opinion on certain things. I might give it up soon if the current influx of DPR refugee won't make it good.

Snapsh0t

I've tried to join micro43.org but have not received the validation email. I haven't had that problem with dprevived which even picked up my standard avatar.
