Who is joining what other site?

Since the announcement that DPR is closing I have joined micro43.org and dprevived.com.I previously joined fredmiranda.com and mu-43.com and visit them occasionally but almost never post in either one.

I plan to go with DPRevived until I see how it works out, but the forum below also seems to have a lot of promise, being more for those with a serious interest in photography than for discussions about things like model numbers etc like this one. Unfortunately it is almost entirely Oly focussed and I would prefer something which also covers Panasonichttps://www.e-group.uk.net/forum/forumPerhaps I am just boring!tom

Re: Ditto: I am a member of a (non photography related) organization and one person who shows up does not want to become a member because she doesn't want us to have her name and address in a computer. She wants to have all the privileges of membership without giving us any information or, for that matter, membership fee.Oh, and this person has refused to be vaccinated against COVID, also. Not terribly surprising, I think. Some people are just amazingly paranoid.I do have a Facebook account. I do not post personal info in it. I have gotten Facebook Messenger messages saying "Hey, is this you in this video?" and a link to some site in Hungary. You have to learn to ignore such garbage.

You didn't include DPRForum.comI wish we could talk those two teams into joining forces. We really don't need to divide the population that way. I registered for both, but will probably drift to one over time.I actually thought about giving up looking at any photography forums going forward. I got what I needed from them a long time ago. Youtube content is much more helpful.

If two sites can merge, I’ve no problem with that. Thanks for your input.

Facebook is not a good replacement for forum software. It banks on people only living in the here and now, with very short memory spans. Not my idea of a place where I can look for a specific older lens and read what folks had to say about it.
