Sigma 35/1.4 DG HSM on D600

In the UK everything looks overpricedThere's a reason I don't have the Nikon 35G, and you named it700GBP would be 700€ here, so that sounds more reasonable, but a lot. It's only USB2, hahaha.

apart from mtf, other parameters like distortion, bokeh, vignetting also seem better. the sophisticated optical formula is there for a reason. af is likely faster too (cf 85/1.4s). my money is on this sigma, otherwise i would have bought the samyang 35/1.4 already.

On past form this price will fall to a much greater extent than Nikon lens prices, which is why I suggested that £700 would be a possible price in the near future.

Looked ok.Besides bokeh the 50/1.4 has little over the 50/1.4AFSRight, but bokeh will be very important in a lens like a fast 50mm, to a lot of users. Having said that, I'm not blown away with Sigma 50/1.4 bokeh, even if it's obviously better than the Nikkor.

Based on B&H site, the Canon mount is now delayed to November 23rd (from 15th) and Nikon to the 30th (from 28th).I was hoping to read the Canon's experience before ordering mine.

Who knows what will happen in the future, but 22% below the already quite reasonable price it has now (€900) would surprise me, if anytime sooner than a year.

Everything is clear from thecomparison. Still no sign of comparison against Nikkor.
