They are still 11 days away from getting the first month of pre-orders filled. This is just ONE store and there are plenty of people belly aching about still not having their Z9 from ordering in November and December. It's still going to be many months before Nikon can catch up. And with the new 2.1 FW even further improving the AF, more people are going to start putting in new orders.Don’t use B&H as a reference since it’s likely the worst possible store to pre-order a Z9 from. I think if you look at smaller stores (and globally) you’ll see orders from Q2 this year being shipped to customers (even in this thread).I agree about B&H and laugh openly at people that still choose to use then to pre-order thinks like the z9 and 800pf.That said, it doesn't matter if the back log is in one place like B&H or of it's spread across all authorized dealers. The point is there are still a significant amount of people still waiting on a Z9

Not Nikon Amateur Services. But even if you're not a working pro, if you have a website and an ASMP membership, you're golden. You don't even have to submit published work if you have those two things.Like I said, ridiculously easy.Looks like ASMP memberships cost a minimum of $225/yr.  Worth it just so you can get an NPS membership???

I ordered from Adorama May 9. It shipped yesterday.

It seems you can order one now and have it in 3 weeks, like me.B&H may be the worst place to order/preorder a z9, or any other extremely popular camera/lens.I should have my Z9 on Tuesday.   I shall try to post a cat picture with it.

Non-NPS, ordered from Nikon USA on June 22.Now I can open all the lens boxes sitting here from the 4th of July sales. Thanks for the update. I’ll likely cave in soon and get one. For the past week, every time I checked Best Buy they had them in stock, but I’m holding out for another store.

So who snagged the Z9? Haha

Delivered via UPS today.   Just over 3 weeks from order to when it shipped.  Five days shipping.Been playing with it and the various lenses I bought for it.   Focus is indeed uncanny - when it works for the situation.  (Like cats!)   I'm duly impressed by the focus stuff that works.Turn on is quite fast, and it is fast enough to be ready to go as I bring the camera from waist to eye.   Not an issue.Speed is also amazing, and generally much faster than I normally need.  By that I mean frame rate, but also autofocus, when it correctly recognizes a subject.  It's really something to watch the focus point chase the eyes of a moving animal.USB battery charging is long overdue.  A minor godsend.  So much more flexible for travel. The camera itself is just as chunky as my gripped D8xx's, but the F1.8 lenses seem light.   The 14-30 is quite compact, at least with the lens closed down.I somewhat sadly demoted my D810 to cupboard status, and removed its strap to put on the Z9.   The D850 now moves to '2nd shoulder', though obvious lens issues will limit simultaneous shooting to probably never.
