My a7R II has the original firmware. I was thinking it has something to do with the adapter because the only thing that has changed was the firmware update. Can you update to v1.10 firmware on the A7Rii and let us know if you see a difference?I am going to wait as those updates don't do anything for my needs. Kinda wish I hadn't updated the adapter.

I've noticed that sometimes when holding the camera with the battery grip attached my hand touches the other shutter button the on vertical side. This button is very sensitive and will engage the autofocus system making the camera act crazy. So i've been shutting the grip controls off when not in use.It still stutters from time to time and slows down so it's only PART of the problem but its been doing it less since i realized what what happening.

I am having the same freezing up.Similarly it locks for 20-30seconds.......turning the camera off and back on only fixes the problem 50% of the time but never get three shots in a row without freezing again.  I am using the Cannon 24-105L lens with adapter.Three days agoI upgraded the software to version 2.  After just a few test shots it started again.  Two weeks ago it took me 30 minutes to get 18 shots.!!!!!I have changed lenses; I have used 3 different batteries usually starting out at 100%.  Tried three different SD cards - (2) Lexar Professional 1000x 150mbs and a 32mb Sandisk 10x.It fails in all cases.Any more folks having the problem after Nov. 1st?Anyone know if SONY is acknowledging that there is a freezing problem??I already had one a7RII exchanged after 5 weeks, by SONY because of severe and constant battery drain.  SONY was great about it.....not an issue.

I've experienced it when using Canon lenses and Metabones adapter. I shot a lot of time lapse sequences and it's a definite problem to experience a freeze up in the middle of a TL sequence. Recently did a firmware update on both the adapter and A7RII and have not had an issue since that time. Hoping the issue is history is history but only more shooting will tell.
