I think I'd try and shrink it further with a 75, 90 or smol 135 but I might have to rethink the 28-60 and/or SY18... If only we had an actual pancake around 28-40mm on E mount, I don't care about it's speed.I wish there were a couple more tiny UWA prime options beyond that 18/2.8 and Laowas/CVs, a 15 or 16 would go great with the 28-60 too. I think the CV 15 is discounted and the Laowa 14/4 looks just ok but it's a little too wide, hmm, maybe that rumored Sigma 17/4.I need to retest all the small waist packs I have with my A7R IV and stuff like the 24/2.8, 11/4.5, and 50/2 as well... I had a pretty good idea what I could fit into them w/M4/3 because I could just drop two primes of any size (or even a 35-100 f4-5.6) in the bottom and stack my body with a pancake on it. I haven't seen a pancake I'd use often on E mount tho...So in the few bags I've tried lately it comes down to either stashing the body with a body cap on, atop two small primes, or maybe forcing a 3rd on the side or the 50/2 mounted. Wish I could find some waist packs without front pockets and with some kinda lens shaped bulge instead. I just wear em as slings, but dedicated cameras slings are made for much larger lenses.

Really not at all heavy.I wish there were a couple more tiny UWA prime options beyond that and Laowas/CVs, a 15 or 16 would go great with the 28-60 too. I think the CV 15 is discounted and the Laowa 14/4 looks just ok but it's a little too wide, hmm, maybe that rumored Sigma 17/4.

Most used zoomPZ16-35G it’s my go to lens and it sits majority of the time on my camera as it cover my most used range. It has the IQ I need for prints, is small, light and your more likely to want to take it with you also on longer walks. Danish landscape photographer Mads Peter Iveersen has changed to it for his wides work, if it’s good enough for him it’ll be good enough for me. Especially as I rarely shoot handheld lowlights and when the light isn’t there I’m on tripod anyway. It also works fantastic as a travel lens. Most Used primesIt’s really a toss between the APO50 for cityscape and architecture shots especially at low light with street lights or setting/rising sun to get decent sunstars and Samyang 135 for portrait/headshot and occasionally I also use it for longer reach in landscape when I don’t bother carrying heavy tele zoom.I actually did a photo shoot recently where I used the 50 APO, took a bit more work but it was lovely to work with… you get far more hands on then those AF. And just loved the results that came out of it.

The lenses I currently use the most are Sony 14mm F1.8 GM, Tamron 20-40 F2.8, Tamron 50-400 4.5-6.3since I have been focusing on landscape photography lately. I am really happy with the Tamron lenses and the Sony is just amazing to have for wide shots.

Zoom:  Sony FE 24-105 f/4, Sony FE 16-35 f/2.8. Prime: Sony FE 20 f/1.8 (a little gem of a lens)

Sony 35mm/1.8, 85mm/1.8 for daily use. Sony 24-240mm for travel.Considering adding 20-70 for travel as well, depending on travel destination.

Do you sometimes wish you took your 70-200 instead of the 50 400 for lanscapes? The Tamron 50-400 seems really intriguing.

No never, for landscapes I really don't need it. But I think you should also get the tripod mount for the Tamron and in my opionion, at least in Europe, the lens is still too expensive. I waited for a special offer recently. But I also have to say, overall the handling of the Sony 70-200 is easier and it's a bit more fun to use, mostly because of the internal zoom. I thought about getting the Teleconverter instead of another lens, but I wanted a bigger range without taking off the lens all the time.

I'd like to thank all those who shared. It helped me particularly with re-evaluating my lack of use of the Tamron 70-300. I've been using it lately and it's better than I had originally thought.I decided to give the new Sony 20-70/4 G a try. Ordered it on Friday and it arrived today. I can easily see my most used lenses for the a7iii/iv changing to:Sigma 16-28/2.8, Sony 20-70/4, and Tamron 70-300mm. The later two would make a great two lens kit.The 20-70/4 G is a great one lens walk around, but I am not sure that it could replace the 28-200, which I have become somewhat addicted to.

Tamron would've milked another $100-something USD out of me if they hadn't done that... 😝
