This is why I wanted the D850 to have a 24Mpx (36 at most) BSI CMOS sensor - not the 45.7Mpxel...... Locked

To all Participant of this Thread, suffice to say I am surprise this went as far as it did...to summarize all I wanted to say is that All I would like to see in the future is a Nikon DSLR with similar (if not identical) D850 features with a 24 or 36 Mpx BSI CMOS sensor with 10 FPS, smallish and lighter body and maybe a little less $$$ price...and Better availability! I think that all of the technology is now available, it would involve mainly repackaging (I know its easier said than done)...The rest is just fluff.....Let us close this thread.....

Specialized sensors reduce availability, they don't increase it. Point being that Nikon should use an existing sensor that has locked in production, which might happen when they change the supplier for this as yet unrealized sensor. As to how many MP that sensor has, don't expect Nikon to go backwards on that one.As for "closing" this thread, that's almost accomplished and I don't see how it doesn't reach the maximum allowable posts.
