Unless you are good with being a disrupted Beta Tester.

My only request if if my voice counted is 50mm focal length.all the past versions of the Q and Q2 are excellent, so if I were happy with what I have, why would I upgrade except for a different focal length?David

Unless you are good with being a disrupted Beta Tester. The Q2 was not so buggy when it first appeared … as I recall?? So, maybe the initial construction of the Q3 will enjoy the same path to success … waiting … hoping.David

You’ll be waiting a while for the announcement.I can understand this situation you speak of.Apple does not change the basic focal length of the iPhone … they stay with a winner; so, Leica too plays the same game for financial success. Their business-model algorithm may be different than what I hope it would be … waiting … hoping for 50mm.David

The CL and its lenses were at a perfect price point for my budget. Note: the reason I desire the 50mm is for museum photos. Here in Houston, I am not too excited about street photography … I find safety and security inside Museum Fine Arts Houston.David

I suspect you will be waiting awhile. Until you start to see discount offers on the Q2 or “Sold Out” posted on major retail sites, I suspect Leica will be happy to keep selling the Q2/M.Leica will likely launch the M11M first. There is also a question about seeing a SL3-S based on the new Lumix S5II.If the Q3 comes this year I would be surprised. If, as expected, it comes with a 60MP sensor  there’s almost no reason for it to have any other lens than the current 28mm.

I know what you mean about Houston. If I am out by myself, I keep an eye on what is going on around me. I need to get back to MFAH. To shoot the Kinder building.

I'm doing the sameMy only expectations:- larger EVF (hello, SL2)- slightly larger screen. No need to change Q2 design, there is plenty of space under Q2 screen glass. Just put in corner-to-corner screen with higher resolution. And please, please keep the old design, do not make tilt screen- faster image processor (Maestro III?)- USB-C interface with in-camera battery chargingFinally, I would love to see 35mm lens, if not, it wouldn't stop me buying Q3 anyway

Note: as I remember, the ad did mention that the camera’s origin is sent from another dealer.waiting… hopingDavid

To shoot the Kinder building.Lots of cool architecture, vista in the Kinder, especially if you have a 14mm or 20mm lens(s); Thursday is a free day except for parking.I’ve had great times in the Kinder. The current MFAH news is incredible:https://www.mfah.org/press/mfah-announces-partnership-with-sarofim-foundationToday, Friday, I will be there looking to see if any of the Sarofim art is on display. I’ll have the D850 and 50mm lens.David
