It's a great site. Generally, much more photography orientated than DPR with fewer inane arguments about equivalence and such.Might be early days since the announcement but nevertheless 6 April ain't that far away.Just my opinion and I would be happier with a site where I did not have to ad-block to make it bearable.Unfortunately, that describes most websites these days. So an ad blocker is essential to use the internet in my view.I get why they do it though, they don't have Amazon paying the server bills, and with photo hosting it can't be cheap to keep the site running. In any case, they offer a subscription option. For $10 a year, you get zero ads.https://www.mu-43.com/account/upgrades

Another option has surfaced. check out this m43 thread https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4705467https://micro43.org/ (leave the www off - otherwise you might get a 'certificate' error...) brand new, no ads, and no onerous conditions, yet... seems to be gathering users from here, DPR can't hurt to give it a try Thx Yuri

Bonus: It's not centralized (multiple servers) and its crowdfunded.Maybe you can suggest an instance/instances ? I've tried all sorts of variations on Micro 4/3 & Olympus, with no search results (on instances.social...) just a general photo instance is too general for me to wade thru... Thx Yurihttps://photog.social/is a Mastodon instance dedicated to photography

photographytalk dot com has forums. It would be nice to see a bunch of people go over there and join up. I'm not affiliated with photographytalk. I'm just a member.

Lucky!!!"Like when Pigeons and Doves invade a neighborhood, huh?

So chaotic.Reddit moderators can be incredibly OCD , aka control freaks. If Ansel Adams were alive today, he might be critiqued by amateurs on Reddit about showing too wide of view of his subject. Everybody's an expert on the internet.I post in the political forums on Reddit, and it is full of meaningless arguments and very few answers. You only get accepted if you preach to the choir on a regular basis.

Good luckHi Bob,I need to reply to add one more post, this one will appear at first as number 39,962 so I'm getting there. The way I waste time on the Internet I'll easily get to 40K before the cutoff. Been at it for 20 years in a few different forums here.Regards.... Guy

I have AdGuard installed on my Mac computer, and that pretty much eliminates most ads.Regards, Dave

Thing I really miss from DPR is the often immediate basic EXIF camera/settings info when hovering over an image (when left in the image by the poster). It's really great to see what the creator used/did... Thx Yuri

I have joined Cameraderie.org and  MU-43.com    I will try them out for a couple of weeks and see how we go, so far so good,  must check out  Micro  4 3  in the near future.

Tbh I'm not worried about a place for m4/3 users and discussion, but what makes dpreview great is that you have all the different communities. Countless times I've searched for information on other cameras and often it was already answered in a dpreview thread. If you are on the fence about which camera might best fit your needs, going to a place dedicated to a specific brand or system is going to give you a lot more biased view. There is a big difference between a forum about photography and one about m4/3.

You essentially give their parent company FULL RIGHTS to any image you post there.Maybe that was the same here as well but it has given me pause. They also want you to pay to be able to see EXIF (which their TOS says they have full rights to delete in any subsequent use of your images).
