Post something yellow (no iPhone pls)Here ya go....The model is made from Petit Blocks kits sold in Daiso stores (Japanese 100 Yen stores operating in Australia now).It is a terribly simplified representation of the famous Doctor Yellow train in Japan that tests the Shinkansen tracks for safety, it can get up to top speed of 443km/h for the tests. It runs infrequently on an unknown timetable so is rarely seen. Yellow is a good colour in Japan so it is regarded as rather lucky to see the train go by.The train is loaded with test gear and checks overhead wires and track as it travels at its usual cruising speed of about 275km/h.The second car from each end has a double pantograph, the next car in has a hump with a window containing cameras aimed at the pantographs and also a human observer sitting up high inside the hump on a rather comfortable looking chair. The hump probably also contains gear that measures (remotely with radiation techniques) the thickness (hence the wear) on the overhead cables.[Edit: There must be various versions as some shots I've seen have double pantographs, others have single pantographs].The rest of the train is full of computers and screens with observers analysing the data streaming in.Watch the real thing athttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GocjGVyPJc4

All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. ...W T F !!What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake DPR users, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout.Energize the demolition beams.Peter

Don't say goodbye say au revoir!Getting closer....No, it will be goodbye as I intend to avoid forums in future. I still may play with updating or changing my web pages as the whim takes me and my email address appears there if anyone needs to talk to me. tinyurl(dot)com/m43stuffThe M4/3 info, mostly old but generally most still applies. Hidden in another menu are other pages about Panasonic LX3 and Casio compacts, no pages yet about my current Sony RX100M6 but I intend to add some. Maybe time not spent in the forums could be spent fixing pages on my site, Dropbox caused a problem when they stopped images being linked. I will maintain the 1990's look to the site though as it is all about information and not about style. The Olympus Timeline there will be updated as needed and is due for a tidyup to make it more useful or readable.Truly I am left behind in the technology race as I became 100% happy when I got my E-P5 pair so they will be lasting me out until I fall off the twig in the next 5 to 10 years at a guess. Not into birding so not needing latest tech cameras. All I might do is rearrange my lens collection a bit over time. It's been fun over the last 20 years, meeting online and also in 3 cases meeting members face to face.Regards..... Guy
