It states: "Visiting an untrustworthy website has been preventedOne or more of this website's certificates are invalid, so we can't guarantee its authenticity. This happens when the website's owner hasn't updated the certificate in time, or if it's a fake site created by scammers. Visiting a website like this makes you more vulnerable to attack."Can the security be upgraded so that it is recognized as valid by antivirus software? As already mentioned by poster N71FT, the certificate is only valid for 'https://micro43.org', but nor for 'https://www.micro43.org'.Just delete the 'www' in the address line and the problem is gone. The Firefox warning explains it (in my case in German language) :Liewenberger

This post higher up the thread:https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/66958175said the following:I “fixed” the problem in Firefox by just removing the “www.” in the OP. (iehttps://micro43.org/is what you want.)Hope it helps,Stephen

Anyone had any problems accessing DPR after signing up to this site ?

I would be very wary of signing up to the sitemicro43.org.Especially as we have no information about this guy's credentials. He joined this forum only today. It stinks.Bob

coastmountaineer wrote:Thanks for flagging that!www.micro43.org *should* just redirect tohttps://micro43.org. I set up the "www" subdomain as well as the main domain and there shouldn't be a certificate issue. However, it is possible that because the site is so new, DNS hasn't fully propagated around the world for everyone yet. This ought to go away on its own, if it doesn't, I can look into it further.Withoutwww it's fine on Safari and FireFox on Mac.

There are several sites out there catering to m4/3 users. I find it bizarre that people feel qualified to start up a site from scratch when there are so many established sites available. One of the best ismu-43which the last time I looked had over 67,000 members, including a great many posters from DPR itself, and over the past few days there seem to have been a few more refugees coming through the door.Have a look, you may enjoy it. Be warned though, it is a very friendly place. And they aim to keep it that way_____________________________________ Some of the coolest things in life are really, really small. https://www.flickr.com/photos/roddyhays/

Some people voiced concerns, but as long as you don't use a password you also use elsewhere there should be no great issues signing up to a new site, right?

Yvonne

Hello Coastmountaineerbrilliant, thank you so much for your initiative! I have already created my login (Firefox on Mac OS, works without a fuss if omitting www).Happy photo huntingYvonne

i think this is now good place to be. hope many users join!

mu-43 had an exodus of users after founder Amin Sabet sold it off to VerticalScope. Here's a link:https://www.mu-43.com/threads/terms-of-service-and-copyright-of-users-content-including-images-are-not-protected.113917/Some of the folks went to Cameraderie.org

Great initiative, I signed up, it looks good!and to those who are suspicious (which is good, considering cybersecurity risks these days) I would say:- don’t reuse passwords, create a new one- of course visiting any site can be a risk (drive by downloads etc.). Make sure your security settings are in order, and you have AV tools, and malwarebytes etc, running- don’t download stuff, for the time beingAssuming it’s legit, great initiative!first RFC: can we get a dark skin too? Easier for the eyes at night!
